Soomaa National Park is a Wilderness Capital of Estonia. Soomaa translates as Land of Mires, it is a Ramsar site of protected wetlands since 1997 and a Natura 2000 area since 2004. The national park is best known for its great flood or the so-called fifth season, when the water from melted snow or heavy rains floods all the lower forests meadows and roads.
We are a group of local nature guides and we invite you to explore Soomaa National Park with us. Our company – Viis Aastaaega OÜ (translates as Five Seasons) – carries a European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECST) certificate of EUROPARC. Canoeing in spring, kickbiking in summer, bogshoeing in autumn, kicksledding in winter.
Paddling a canoe on a river is one of the best ways to get to know the nature of Soomaa National Park and naturally, it is a lovely way to relax.
